Jimalalud Central School is situated in the heart of Jimalalud, Negros Oriental. The Municipality of Jimalalud belongs to the fourth class municipality of the First Congressional District of Negros Oriental. It is situated in the eastern part of the island of Negros and about 98 kilometers north of Dumaguete City, the capital city of the province.
It extends 36 kilometers to the west and bounded by the ridge of the Negros Mountains. To the North, it is bounded by the Mala-iba Creek, to the South by the Creek of Hagimit and to the East by the Taňon Strait. It occupies an area of 14,673 hectares or 143.73 square kilometers.
